Privacy Policy

It is a condition of the use of any of Web-Design UK’s services that you agree to the Web-Design UK privacy policy.

None of your details will be passed onto any third party without your consent. All data will be held in accordance with our data protection policy (available on request.) Web-Design UK is registered under the Data Protection Act and abides by the codes.

The data controller is Matthew Baker.

All data will be stored by Web-Design UK or Fasthosts Internet Ltd. The following organisations will be recipients of the data: Fasthosts Internet / UK Reg; Nominet UK; EliteUKServe.net; Network Solutions / InterNic and any applicable individual or organisation that is required to process the customer’s order successfully but is limited to only those that are required by Web-Design UK / are in the same group as Web-Design UK as described in the Data Protection Act registration.

Your details will be used by Web-Design UK (no other companies other than those named specifically above) for marketing reasons. If you wish to opt-out of this then please contact Web-Design UK.

Most E-Mail messages sent from Web-Design UK have been automatically scanned for viruses and as such should be free from any virus; malicious code; script or other executable attachment. However, the accuracy of scanning products is not guaranteed. The recipient(s) should therefore carry out any checks that they deem to be appropriate in this respect. We cannot be held responsible for loss of or damage to data or other damages, resulting from such actions out of our control, howsoever incurred. All E-Mail messages from Web-Design UK are sent in good faith. We cannot be held responsible for any modification that happens by any virus, or other third party after they have been sent. Any views or opinions expressed in any message are the views of the individual sender only and may not necessarily represent the views of Web-Design UK. All messages are intended for the recipient only. If you are not the intended recipient specifically identified as the addressee on it then you should delete the message and all its attachments and are prohibited from using, reading, disclosing to any person or otherwise acting on the information contained in it and/or its contents in any way and should also notify us as soon as possible of this fact. Web-Design UK may require access to the customer’s E-Mail and/or other products or services provided by Web-Design UK at any time to maintain the provision of the service, or to carry out administration or any other necessary purpose. There will not be any notice given if this is required and the customer agrees that this may take place. An example of this is that Web-Design UK may require access to E-Mail accounts to facilitate modifications where requested by the customer or to enable the operation of all/any Web-Design UK client’s services.

Any action legally permitted in the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act or other legal basis is agreeable with the customer and may take place at any time without warning.

We will pass details of any customer to any government organisation such as the Police, Trading Standards or required company such as Nominet UK, Fasthosts Internet or other organisation at the discretion of Web-Design UK in accordance with English law and our privacy policy without agreement from the customer.

The customer agrees not to disclose any information about the prices or other services quoted to the customer unless required to do so by law.

 The customer agrees that their details may be used for client references and that the details may be added to our client list and Web-Design UK work given to other clients as examples.

All of the customer’s details may be passed to our legal advisers at any time.

Web-Design UK may update or change / remove any part of this document at any time. The above terms apply to this document.

The customer agrees that Web-Design UK may be the named contact on their domain name registration. These details will be registered with Nominet UK and the relevant ISP for the registration of the chosen domain name. This also applies to the relevant ISP and registration authority for .com and other TLDs. This can be modified at any time by writing to Web-Design UK or Nominet UK and/or the relevant ISP. The customer agrees to indemnify Web-Design UK from any legal proceedings relating to the domain name registration and its use. The customer authorises Web-Design UK to act on the customer's behalf to process the registration and any correspondence as necessary for the accurate registration and confirmation of details for the client's domain name.

The customer and any web site visitor to any site hosted by Web-Design UK / Fasthosts Internet Ltd. agrees that we may use your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act and as described in our privacy policy. You acknoweldge that any information disclosed by you is done so at your own risk and may possibly be viewed by third parties.

Like most organisations/ISPs we and Fasthosts Internet Ltd. may use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of visits / clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. All of this information may be disclosed to clients of Web-Design UK but will not be personally identifiable.
